The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot including divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in influence within the city.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of characters who will branch out from the central cast to begin their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

With 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.

Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might look out of place, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the team knows exactly where to head next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, invading the secret base, attacking the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then paid off his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, wants revenge.
  • The adventurer has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous location.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their status as key figures in the powerful family could enable the group enter places they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are known criminals.
  • The warrior and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This means them no alternative but to head to Timmony in quest for Casimir.
